What is a copywriter and why should you use one?
A copywriter is just another name for a writer. They write "copy" (or words that sell) for all kinds of advertising and marketing material, such as press releases, brochures, websites, advertorials, direct mail, flyers, staff magazines, customer magazines... in fact, anything that needs words putting to it. How often have you picked up a glossy brochure that's badly written, full of spelling and grammar mistakes and often downright boring? I know I have. Not much point spending thousands on fancy graphics if the words don't match up. But use a good copywriter and your words will stand out for the right reasons. They'll be able to adapt to your requirements and "brief", whether that means cutting through technical jargon for a non-technical audience, writing web copy that makes your website stand out from the millions of others out there or devising a memorable strapline for a new advertising campaign.
More to the point, why should you hire me?
Because I've written on just about every subject under the sun, from travel and lifestyle, business and finance, marketing and branding to IT and electronics, for some of the UK's biggest companies. I've never missed a deadline, never had a complaint and never had to rewrite anything beyond the odd tweak. And it's all in a "tight, engaging style", so I'm told.
My clients include visitBritain, Barclays Bank, Automobile Association, bmi Airlines, Yorkshire Tourist Board, P&O, Thomson Holidays and B&Q.
